Peligro for Blake Lively, whoever that is

Well, I was driving along on my way back from Oxapampa when I came across this electrical post and I just had to take a picture of it. I don’t know folks, what message do you think they’re trying to convey here? I look at those reverse spikes and that skull and crossbones and the “peligro de muerte” words and I think this post is just screaming, “CLIMB ME!!!!!”

Hahahah, needless to say, I didn’t eventually climb it, nor could I get anyone who was with me to climb it.

Sigh…I remember back when I was 12 and I used to hang out with guys who were like 8 or 9 and you could always get them to do crazy/dangerous stuff like climb up electrical poles and dangle off the spiked-barbs. I guess all my friends are just too old and wise these days.

Incidentally, if you’re interested, I got a nice comment from the commentor I was complaining about yesterday in this article. I always say, I don’t mind if you disagree with me, just disagree with me in a COMPELLING way that makes me think (and gives me fodder for new blog topics). You can read the comments there if this article was too short for you (and add some more, I like reading them).

Hasta Mostaza!

That's funny. I've seen those around Peru in various places before. Back in the US we use contraptions like that to prevent squirrels from climbing up bird feeder stations. Incidentally, squirrels always find a way to bypass them!
